    Both of you have good explanations but an app would let more people see of ImDeity Kingdoms. This would lead to more money to help run the server.

    personally I thought this was a cool idea, aside from the part wherein you said the server could make money from it. It's already free to access the site and the server, and as far as I know (I have adblock lol) there aren't ads.

    aside from that I thought this was a cool idea; I had an idea for an app months ago but it was shut down for the same reason, no one saw the need

    As far as I know, Deity isn't worried about 'more money'. Donations are always appreciated, but we are not a commercial server.

    We can get more money from donations, but the main reason to make an ImDeity app is so more people can find out about the server. This would lead to more people talking about the server and the server can become more known.

    I really do not think that's how it would pan out unless people were looking at newly made apps and go "huh, I wonder what this is?" And they just happened to play minecraft and be looking for a server

    And again, I do not thin that would actually happen. There is a number of factors that would have to match up in order for that to happen and if they did it would probably lead to a number of people joining up the server to troll/spam/grief the place because not all publicity is good publicity. Getting the word out there is great but making an app isn't the way to go about it.

    like I said, as good as an idea as it is, frankly it's getting shot down because it requires more effort than to type imdeity.com into your browser bar. that's really how suggestions are here, if it requires a bit of effort and has any flaws, it's not going to be accepted.

    keep in mind if this actually were accepted, I'd gladly help in whatever way I could
